December 16 – Jumpstart “Job Round up”- Don’t just hand out your resume or application–get hired! A Job Round Up is different from a Job Fair. Participants will fill out applications and be screened for specific job openings. Then applications for qualified candidates will be forwarded to employer partners who are working with Jumpstart to fill those openings. Some of the employers are willing to consider formerly incarcerated individuals depending on the circumstances. Positions include production workers, forklift operators, customer service representatives, warehouse workers, construction workers, custodians, and technical support representatives. December 31 – New Year’s Eve Roaring Twenties Barkin’ Ball charity event for Fuzzy Friends – The Fuzzy Friends Rescue Barkin’ Ball has been one of Waco’s favorite charity events for many years! This gala event is our capital fundraiser, generating over sixty-percent of the annual operating funds that are required to save hundreds of Waco’s abandoned dogs and cats and support our various community outreach programs.
